Hamnet

Hamnet
Hamnet
  • Hit the first 15 days of both gym and drawing – reward habit system is holding! πŸŽ‰
  • Drawing has been a bit scattered for months – no clear direction, just experimenting. This week something clicked: character drawing has distinct pillars, and I need to tackle them one at a time. Starting with Gesture, then Structure. Found a solid playlist by S. Michael Hampton to guide the gesture work. Feels good to finally have a path.

  • Watched Hamnet this week, and the closing scene – Agnes's gaze – was quietly moving. Beautiful in a way that stays with you. I think I'll keep my distance from the book, though; I'm not sure my heart can take more. A friend who'd read it noted the usual gaps that come with adaptations. If you're planning to experience both, start with the film.
  • Long overdue potluck picnic at Cubbon Park. I'd been worried about the heat, but the park was perfect – shaded, easy, exactly what a Sunday should feel like. Need to do this often.
